From 'Memories of Bunbury', courtesy of Stuart Eaton. "Turkey Point, the tennis court, and the tearooms there were a popular tourist destination from the early 1900s to 1950. Many will remember trips on the boat the "Valdemar" which ferried 2 loads of passengers a day there during holiday season. The Lyons family originally owned the property and Mr Lyons skippered the Valdemar."
